I am so thankful for old friends! Heather Swanberg Schueller, who I attended high school with in Hong Kong, and I reconnected on facebook. She had me up for dinner and was talking about fixing a mosaic table top that she had on her deck. I told her that we could do something crazy and whimsical. Two trips later - a masterpiece is unveiled.
This was one of the most fun projects I have worked on to date! It was a family affair. Heather's 11 yr old Victoria and her 9 yr old Olivia helped draw out the design and glue down the pieces. (heather did too!) Her husband and father helped stabilize the table top.
I returned a few weeks later and Heather, Victoria and Heather's best friend helped me grout the pieces. It is just awesome! I love it!
More then the piece, I am grateful to Heather for inviting me into her home. It is the first time in months that I have been able to completely unwind and dedicate hours to something I love: friends and art.
